High Point Pony Family Day will be held on Saturday, May 1 from 11:00am - 1:00pm. For over 6 years the High Point Elks Lodge has volunteered to host a league cookout for everyone at High Point Pony. All teams at HP Pony will play baseball and softball at High Point and all players are encourage to purchase at least 2 tickets for the cookout.

Each ticket entitles you to receive a hotdog and hamburger with all the trimmings, chips, cookie and drink. Lunch is served from 11:00am thru 1:00pm.

Enjoy a day at the ball park with family and friends!

TICKET SALES

Each team recieved 30 tickets. You can purchase the tickets from your team Manager or designated Team Parent. All money from ticket sales and unsold tickets should be returned to the concession stand no later than Saturday, April 24.

Extra tickets can be picked up at the concession stand.

PRIZE

The team that sells the most tickets in each division will receive a team pizza party after one of your ball games.

PONY BASEBALL EVALUATIONS
 
The Pony Baseball Division is for player’s league ages 13 and 14 years old. Player Evaluations will be held on Saturday, April 10 on Field #1 at the Johnson Street Sports Complex located at 4515 Johnson St.
 
EVALUATIONS
 
Player Evaluations will begin at 11:00am on Field #1. This is opening day for all leagues under the age of 13. The fields will be extremely busy and you may park in the overflow parking lot behind Field #1. You can then walk up next to the right field fence to Field #1.
 
11:00AM
All players that are not expecting to play the position of Pitcher or Catcher.
 
1:00PM
If you are a player that can play the position of PITCHER or CATCHER you will need to come to player evaluations at 1:00pm. After the normal evaluation process, PITCHERS will be required to pitch from the mound and all CATCHERS will be required to catch for these pitchers. Catching equipment will be provided for those that do not have catcher’s equipment.
 
Players that come to the player evaluations will be included in the player draft and will be drafted by a team Manager. Players that do not attend player evaluations will be placed in a hat and drawn out at random and placed on a team.
 
TEAMS
 
We currently have enough players to have 4 teams of 13 players. We will also play against 2 other teams from the Jamestown Youth League. All games and practices will be held at Johnson Street.
 
MANAGERS
 
We have 3 team Managers and we need 1 more team Manager in order to continue with the league. If you would like to manage a team or have a question about what a Manager or Coaches duties include you may contact Rick Melton via email and indicate a time he may call you.

REGISTRATION

If you have not registered for the Pony Baseball Division you may register and be placed onto a waiting list. Once there is an opening you will be contacted. You may register at the concession stand between 11:00am and 1:00am.
